fever and cough
people around me are getting sick  - one had a fever, one has a fever, one has a cough. must be the change in the weather. there are bursts of rain. it's not so humid anymore. i dare say the air has been cool and dry since yesterday. then again, at this point, i know that the weather can change just like... that!
albite on symbian
latest bedtime reading is a nice classic from the '20s. happy that i found the albite reader for symbian many months ago and because i don't jump between books, using it has been ok; plus, it looks nice. i finally let go and uninstalled the old b&n e-reader on my nokia yesterday; adding ebooks to it was a chore.
nook app
finally bought nookbook#3 of "a song of ice and fire" {thanks, you-in-the-us!}. it's figuratively gathering dust but i'll get to it, eventually. it's in the desktop b&n nook app though reading from the monitor gets a little uncomfortable on the neck and bum.  i don't know but it may be a good thing that i don't have a portable nook - i can imagine being all comfy and cozy on a couch with a nook and access to a number of good ebooks... i don't think i'd want to move! yeah, i stopped buying actual books because there's no more space here; sad, no?

Lovely weather now. It's cold - not too cold that I have to bundle up - it's nice. It's windy outside too. Mosquitoes in my room are not afraid. It used to be that when you wave a hand over one that's "dining" on you, it would fly away. Now, when I feel an itch on my leg and put a hand over it ever so calmly, I squash the bug. Gross. Here was my dinner yesterday, chicken congee or arroz caldo . Suitable dish during cold weather 'cause it's filling and the spiciness from the ginger hits the spot.

Paymaya duplicate account 2018 [fixed]

How to fix a Paymaya Duplicate Account issue? Do not waste your time sending an email to support@paymaya.com or messaging PaymayaCares on FB because you will only get a canned response (and a headache). YOU NEED TO TALK TO A HUMAN BEING... If you do not have a landline but you do have a Smart number, call *788 directly. This is free. That's what I did. I spoke with a rep and she fixed it right away, mabilis lang. She said the BSP (Bangko Sentral) is strict and will only allow 1 upgraded account per user. Any attempts to upgrade a different number will flag the new account and put you in this duplicate account mess and you won't be able to add money to this new number anymore. (The original account will not be affected though.) Because they cannot cancel the submitted upgrade request on the new number (it doesn't work that way daw), I had to choose which number I want to keep-- If I choose to keep the old upgraded number, they will delete the duplicate account and I

Globe at Home: "Connected without internet" ================ 11/4/2023 Saturday ================ 12 Noon: We lost our wifi today. After troubleshooting* a few times -- still no "internet" light on the modem; it is off while all other lights are green. *Power off modem for 30 seconds and wait for it to boot up. ~2:45pm: I called Globe's customer service 211 . It's free to call with a Globe #. Automated recording for broadband services - give your customer account # and wait for a human to answer. I didn't wait too long -- The rep told me that since there's no advisory for my area, to keep troubleshooting because they might be able to fix it on their end later today, but she still put me down for a tech "home visit" for tomorrow.
