A “pawnable” 0.69g 18k Saudi yellow gold ring (photo sent by the Shopee seller).

My ring size is 6... in case I forget. Another buyer left a review that when they took it to Cebuana, they received an appraised value of P1,800 or ~50% of the retail price. Gold 18k market value is ~P3,400 per gram as of today (Sept. 11,2024). But for serious assets = gold bars are preferred over jewelry.

Pretty small hearts design and stamped Au750 / 6. The diamond cuts make it sparkle. It looks very nice when worn.

Lovely weather now. It's cold - not too cold that I have to bundle up - it's nice. It's windy outside too. Mosquitoes in my room are not afraid. It used to be that when you wave a hand over one that's "dining" on you, it would fly away. Now, when I feel an itch on my leg and put a hand over it ever so calmly, I squash the bug. Gross. Here was my dinner yesterday, chicken congee or arroz caldo . Suitable dish during cold weather 'cause it's filling and the spiciness from the ginger hits the spot.

Mango season and food pics

 It's mango season! Lots of sweet ripe mangoes for sale around us 😋  Mango Slices, Pork Tocino + Vinegar Sawsawan My current favorite bigas  variety is sinandomeng. It is buhaghag but still soft, but not all sinandomeng  are the same. I prefer the one by Golden Grain's. Mango Slices, Beef Tapa + Salt on the Side I asked for salt. Maybe I'm having too much sweet fruit.  Mango slices, Purefoods hotdogs + UFC Banana Catsup I prefer Purefoods Cocktail Hotdogs compared to the regular sized Tender Juicy. Two weeks straight of sweet mangoes is cloying (but good for digestion!). Will hold off buying them for now.

  Chicken Nuggets (Purefoods Chicken Breast Nuggets) Yum with BBQ sause. Sliced mango yung nasa taas, masarap din, matamis. Homemade Baked Macaroni Ordered from a neighbor for noche buena. It has beef, mushrooms and bechamel sauce. Still yum. Second year in a row na since  2022 noche buena macaroni . Pork tocino and scrambled egg (Pampanga's Best Original Tocino) with suka, syempre. Dry yung eggs huhu. Sinangag sana yung rice pero bagong saing kasi. Dapat sa fried rice yung day-old na maalsa para buhaghag. Speaking of... tagalog ako pero yung term na "maalsa" sa bigas, recently ko lang naintindihan 😁
