Noche Buena 2022... I already pre-ordered a "budget set" na good for 4 people daw (baked beef macaroni and fudgy cake) from one of our neighbors a week before. He delivered it around 6:30 pm on Dec. 24 so we heated the baked mac just before midnight... Masarap! Very pretty din ang packaging nya na merong holiday ribbons and all... di ko lang napicturan.  I did not want to prep or cook anymore para wala nang stress or bili pa ng mga ingredients. Relax and enjoy nalang. Naka-order nadin ako sa kapitbahay kong to ng baked mac dati so alam ko na oks ang gawa nya, maayos din ang packaging na ginagamit nya.   FYI, sobrang mahal na ng onions nowadays. Almost 400 pesos per kilo! 😲

I used two (2) of these Panasonic sealed lead acid batteries 12v 18ah to replace the original UB ones on my Golden Literider electric wheelchair... These were not good at all. I thought by buying a brand name, I would get good quality, but no. These failed from the get-go...  Quick to drain and would not last long enough to get me outdoors so I was stuck indoors for the year and a half that it lasted until they finally died on me. The new ones I got are JSL II brand and I upgraded to 20ah and so far, the JSL II are holding up very well.

My plate (clockwise): Panda Express orange chicken, mixed vegetables, kung pao chicken, black pepper steak Panda Express along Dona Soledad Avenue in Paranaque City opened early this year 2022... I think or 2021 pa ? Anyway, I had visitors over last August so I bought a bunch of ulam there via foodpanda delivery. I like that they have veggies. Masarap lahat. Orange chicken is sweet — winner with the kids. Mixed vegetables with lots of broccoli are fresh and  hindi laspag  — winner with the adults. Kung pao chicken is hot/spicy. Black pepper steak is peppery — most of the beef slices were super tender, but merong konti na malitid . I also bought Mongolian pork that didn't make it into my plate... but I did get leftovers of it the next day. Dessert was excellent — double cheesecake with half Nutella and nuts, half strawberry jam; home-made by my super cousin. Yum! 

Blogs used to be personal diaries out here in the world wide web - available for anyone to see, but hard to find.  Pwedeng anonymous, pwedeng hindi.  Most are very well-written. Maganda ang pagkakasulat. Magandang basahin.  English or not, humble padin.  Helpful, not harmful.  Informative. Insightful.  NOW... Daming copy/pasted marketing in personal blogs. True, as in "copy paste" talaga ng advertising material. Kaya paulit-ulit sila sa top ng search results. Kailangan pang maghagilap para makakita ng sinulat na hindi "ad" ang laman. Asan na kayo? This is the Aguila sliced ham ala country style. It is salty and thinly sliced, so it crisps up pag-fry... Yummy, parang bacon. "Hamsilog" for brunch... I had this Aguila country ham cut into bite-size pieces before serving para madaling kainin. Mga 1 & 1/2 slices lang andito sa plato ko. They piled on the fried rice too, hindi ko naubos. Had half a lakatan too but kinain ko na before taking this picture. Tonight's dinner will be sarciadong ampalaya... pang-balance sa ganitong heavy brunch.

(08/30/2022) Tonight’s dinner is Mang Inasal delivery via Food Panda…  Mang Inasal Palabok (P73.00) Yummy palabok… but 1 calamansi is not enough. Padagdag po ng calamansi.  I also bought the Mang Inasal buddy size promo with 2 chicken inasal and 3 barbecue sticks which should be good for two more meals.   -  I did not want to eat rice tonight. We had Spam for brunch. It was the “Low Sodium” Spam but still so very salty so I ate more rice than usual. Andun padin ang salty taste even after I brushed my teeth. 

I woke up with my left eyelid swollen. The wet cough that's coming from my chest is back. I've been getting it once or twice a year since, I don't recall exactly, but maybe a decade ago or even longer than that. Weather is muggy. It rains on and off all day and night. Maybe this bad weather is why my cough is back... I don't know. Figuring out how to take the bad lithium ion battery pack off my Cosin electric wheelchair is also stressing me out. Dairy Queen Ice Cream Mango Cheesecake in a To-Go Tin (P449.00) via Grab Food (+ delivery fee). This is their small 6" tin, filled with vanilla soft serve and toppings (mango slices, cheesecake bits, and whipped cream). Looks very nice but tastes bland on its own kasi konti lang ang toppings, so we paired it with my cousin's homemade fudgy chocolate cake! Cake à la mode ❤ 

Sky Tech Arrives to "Pull Out" the Equipment i.e. Modem I can cancel my problematic Sky Broadband internet subscription without any fees because I am not locked into their 2-year contract anymore.  I have been using Globe at Home for a couple of months now and so far, so good. The steps I took to cancel/disconnect my Sky Broadband -- 1. Logged into my Mysky.com.ph account and chat with a rep. He started the disconnection process, gave me a reference number, and told me to expect a call. 2. Got the call the next day -- the tech is here to "pull out" the equipment i.e. modem. THE "PULL OUT"  We already unplugged the modem and put it in a plastic bag for him to just collect... But hindi lang pala ganun, haha. He sat down and filled out a few forms; this took him maybe around 10 minutes, and... done! We signed the forms, he gave us our copy of the work order, and he left. He took the modem with him too. It’s dry! 🙁 What happened? This is the 2nd consecutive roll that we’ve bought from the Red Ribbon Bicutan branch at Dona Soledad Avenue… The previous one was the mango roll; it was dry too. Red Ribbon used to be our go-to shop for affordable roll cakes because they were so moist , but the quality has gone down. 😢 The Red Ribbon Ube Bloom round cake that we ordered last year 2021 was delicious though, so maybe it's just the rolls that changed.

Applied for Globe at Home VDSL Plan 1599 Monday afternoon (April 18, 2022). It was installed Wednesday morning (April 20, 2022). This is modem-only plan, walang landline. There is a Globe agent/booth at our clubhouse. I assume many residents in our community are Globe internet and landline subscribers. Ang contact number ng lobby sa building namin is Globe landline. NOTES via talk with our Globe agent during the application:  • Expect around P800 sa unang billing para sa fees; she does not know why they printed it as "... P100 per month for first 12 months" sa promotional flyer. (UPDATE: Actual first month's bill ko = P2,185.30; Second month's bill = P1,599.00)  • Correct na there is a 24-month lock-in contract.  • Lahat ng buildings dito are wire-ready sa Globe that is why mabilis ang installation. Ganitong modem "Skyworth" ang pinalit ng Sky sa modem namin na luma. We are having issues with the WiFi disconnecting everyday between 2am and 4am. Turning the modem off/on while waiting ~2 minutes in between, fixes it. But lately, it disconnects in the afternoon as well. The modem lights are okay, but it kicks us out. Araw-araw nalang. Inis nako . So, I contacted Sky last week to schedule a home visit. The Sky technicians came today. After a Q&A about the problem, they decided to replace the old Technicolor modem. The replacement modem is free. Anyway, it takes a long while to set up the new modem kasi it's not just "plug and play." They coordinated with their home office over the phone, linked it via serial number, etc., and then, I signed their work order form. We made sure okay lahat before they left. My 2-year contract with Sky ended matagal na so I can cancel at any time. When I do that, I will only cancel their internet service. I am keep

Do you have these problems with your wired or wireless earphones -- ... How to change Stereo to Mono on android? ... One ear headset sound android help ... Fix sound earphones android ... Maybe you are listening to music and just hear the backtrack, or something like that. Before throwing it away, try changing the sound settings from Stereo to Mono. This is an easy fix, might be worth a shot. Unless the earphones are really junk, then you need to get a new pair. What's the difference between stereo and mono? A simple answer is stereo mode plays different sounds on the left and right earpieces which gives "depth" to our listening experience, while mono plays the whole sound through each ear. With Mono, you can use one earpiece and you will hear the whole sound well enough. Quite useful when you need to be safe while out walking so you can still hear what's going on around you. Lost 4 working hours when I updated Windows on my laptop... and about an hour more to repair the error on the Office programs after the update.  Good thing that Office only needed the "Quick Repair" to fix that 0xc0000142 error. This is the easiest fix. My Office is working again without that error after running Quick Repair. The Windows update can be unnerving because the screen would go black sometimes or be stuck on a % and you don't know if your computer froze or it's just running in the background. I usually check the "processing" light - if it's blinking, it's still doing something so I leave it; but if it's steady, it probably froze and I need to hard restart.

Maganda pag nakaka-tikim ng authentic food from other cultures like this one, butter chicken. Bili from a South Asian neighbor (I think Indian but not sure -- just checked, they are Arabic/Pakistani). It came with basmati rice. I like basmati rice kasi buhaghag sya. Nakatusok sa tinidor half na lakatan saging. I try to buy fruit regularly para we can eat at least 1 fruit/day. Health is wealth nga naman. Masarap ang butter chicken kasi saucy at spicy, but medyo maalat ata itong nagawa nila. We usually order chicken biryani from them. It comes with a side of yummy cold yogurt that balances the spiciness, pero I would still eat it with some plain white rice kasi di ko padin talaga kaya yung anghang ng biryani. Order nga ako next time para ma-picturan ko din yun.

Nawawala nanaman ang internet connection ng Sky Cable dito... Kailangan pa i-off/on ang power sa modem para bumalik sya.  Nasa labas pa naman ang modem kaya pinapasuyo ko pa huhu. Ang hirap kasi di ko ma-deretso mga ginagawa ko. Hay naku... Siguro i-report ko nalang itong intermittent connection if bukas ganito padin kasi wala naman ang Paranaque dito sa SKY Service Advisories . Sana madami mag-report para ayusin nila to. Mahaba pa yang listahan nila ng affected areas this afternoon, kalahati lang yan sa screenshot. Sigh. P.S. I reported the issue via the "Message Us" link na yan ^. Madami lang yung sasagutin sa auto-reply nila to troubleshoot pero pag di naman na-resolve, it will send you to chat with a human being. That is Cali fizzy apple juice sa wine glasses. It tastes the same as 20 years ago, maasim padin haha.   Homemade lahat ng food, wala akong in-order this year. The leche flan does not look right but it tastes right so the ingredients for one llanera are correct. We still need a lot more practice in making it pa... I would do it myself but someone else insists so it ends up not silky and the melted sugar is not quite caramelized yet.
