Modem Replacement from Sky
Ganitong modem "Skyworth" ang pinalit ng Sky sa modem namin na luma. We are having issues with the WiFi disconnecting everyday between 2am and 4am. Turning the modem off/on while waiting ~2 minutes in between, fixes it. But lately, it disconnects in the afternoon as well. The modem lights are okay, but it kicks us out. Araw-araw nalang. Inis nako.
So, I contacted Sky last week to schedule a home visit. The Sky technicians came today. After a Q&A about the problem, they decided to replace the old Technicolor modem. The replacement modem is free.
Anyway, it takes a long while to set up the new modem kasi it's not just "plug and play." They coordinated with their home office over the phone, linked it via serial number, etc., and then, I signed their work order form. We made sure okay lahat before they left.
My 2-year contract with Sky ended matagal na so I can cancel at any time. When I do that, I will only cancel their internet service. I am keeping the cable TV.
Bawal ang stress kaya I made arrangements with another internet provider yesterday. "Globe at Home" naman. A lot of people in our building use that. I can expect a call from a Globe tech who will install it by the end of the week daw.
