cmos batt and mobo

quick update on the recent pc power-on problem...

the computer stopped booting up during the weekend; every time i tried, it would power-on but won't post. figured the cmos battery was finally empty {and maybe something else}. we checked it earlier and saw that:

# cmos battery was empty, AND
# motherboard had bad capacitors {bubble-topped instead of flat-topped; should've taken a photo, sayang}.

after changing cmos battery, cleaning, etc., they got it working again.
re:mobo, was advised to let it ride until it dies; then we'll replace it.

okay.
