8.1 restart loop, final straw

What now?
Did i press the power button the wrong way?

My Win 8.1 desktop was on a "repairing," bsod ("...a problem...), restart loop tonight with "bios update... creating bios image..." and error descriptions on the bsod occasionally showing up. Must say though, the bsod on 8.1 is not so scary.

Of course, I tried to boot from my usb media but it wouldn't go through from 1-time boot, not even when I put it first on bios. Is my mobo faulty?

Dunno but something is.

Just waited for it to hang a 3rd time so I can power down for a fresh try in an hour or so.

4th Round. Somehow, it managed to repair itself and I was able to work until a bsod/restart came on. Twice, I had a 15-minute window to work. But before another bsod could come on again, I shut it down properly. Will see if it will be better (or worse) tomorrow.

one problem after another

When it rains, it pours. Been having one tech problem after another. It's wonderful when everything works and so affecting when it doesn't. Yes, it makes me sad.

But this is the final straw. I made up my mind. I'm getting a new laptop.

Lovely weather now. It's cold - not too cold that I have to bundle up - it's nice. It's windy outside too. Mosquitoes in my room are not afraid. It used to be that when you wave a hand over one that's "dining" on you, it would fly away. Now, when I feel an itch on my leg and put a hand over it ever so calmly, I squash the bug. Gross. Paymaya duplicate account 2018 [fixed]

How to fix a Paymaya Duplicate Account issue? Do not waste your time sending an email to support@paymaya.com or messaging PaymayaCares on FB because you will only get a canned response (and a headache). YOU NEED TO TALK TO A HUMAN BEING... If you do not have a landline but you do have a Smart number, call *788 directly. This is free. That's what I did. I spoke with a rep and she fixed it right away, mabilis lang. She said the BSP (Bangko Sentral) is strict and will only allow 1 upgraded account per user. Any attempts to upgrade a different number will flag the new account and put you in this duplicate account mess and you won't be able to add money to this new number anymore. (The original account will not be affected though.) Because they cannot cancel the submitted upgrade request on the new number (it doesn't work that way daw), I had to choose which number I want to keep-- If I choose to keep the old upgraded number, they will delete the duplicate account and I

GlobeAtHome no internet [fixed]

Globe at Home: "Connected without internet" ================ 11/4/2023 Saturday ================ 12 Noon: We lost our wifi today. After troubleshooting* a few times -- still no "internet" light on the modem; it is off while all other lights are green. *Power off modem for 30 seconds and wait for it to boot up. ~2:45pm: I called Globe's customer service 211 . It's free to call with a Globe #. Automated recording for broadband services - give your customer account # and wait for a human to answer.
