Happy 2020!

Happy new year! I've not posted in months... ano na mga nangyari? Busy yung December which is fine. I had fun. I'm going to get another round of blood tests done early March. Ready na yung doctor's order from my home-service consult with an MD I got thru the AIDE app last month... actually, yung previous blood tests ko, dun ko din na-book. As in! -- I want to write about my experiences using the AIDE app which were all positive so far, pati yung same-day Rx medicine deliveries were great - they use Grab! Naisip ko na I want to write about hotels - and how they treat guests in wheelchairs. Medyo madami nakong naipon na kwento from Alabang, Mandaluyong at Makati (nakwento ko na yung GoHotels sa Bacolod dati na very accessible kasi proper ramps are built around the building! As in tama ang he

Bonchon delivery

First taste was at a restaurant inside SM Bicutan -- the beef "bibimbowl" was shockingly salty. As in! Second, delivery naman via FoodPanda -- Bonchon beef stew and soy garlic chicken. Both were savory! Very delicious!  Third, delivery ulit -- Bonchon soy garlic chicken and chapchae (pic below). The Bonchon chapchae was sweet as expected. But the soy garlic chicken... bakit super sweet din? Anong nangyari? Waah!

Pushkart review: 249 delivery fee increase

Image
Ngayon naman, I see na tumaas na ang grocer's/delivery fee nila from 99 pesos to 249 pesos... Pati ang "kredits" nila, parang from 1 for every 100 pesos, naging 1 for every 500 pesos na... I think the straw that finally broke the camel's back is yung pagtaas ng delivery fee ni Pushkart without any notice or updates sa website nila as of now to reflect this change; kahit email blast man lang na nag-increase na sila ng fees, wala din. Alam ko na they can increase their fees at their discretion... kainis lang kasi sayang oras ko mag-shop tapos, ayun nga. Hmm... I've been using Waltermart delivery since pero pag naubos ko na lahat ng free deli

Pushkart review: system bugs or glitches

Image
Photo courtesy of Unsplash Since Honestbee disappeared, I tried other online grocery alternatives here in Metro Manila. So far, MetroMart failed - I will not use MetroMart ever again - so, Pushkart it is. In the last three months, my experience with Pushkart was OK. I like the "kredits" refund for unavailable items, and the shopper asking about replacements. I had nothing to complain about... until last week. Available slots are getting full too quickly: On my last order, the soonest available was 4 days away! System glitches: Their website has always been slow... but lately, "kredits" were not reflected properly, and the "Cart" was not updating. Sigh. Si WaltermartDelivery naman, as of now, ang laki ng minimum (2000 pesos) at delivery fee (300 pesos) so not practical talaga. Meron pa bang other online grocery options? Out na yung mga specialty shops; I just need regular su
