" Tradeport .com .ph " order received! The long 3-day weekend and an issue about them replacing a faulty charger delayed the shipping of my first order from local online shopping site, Tradeport.
This arrived in the AM on Tuesday and I would've made a whole "unboxing" photo sequence but excitement won over. So, I settled for an after-shot.
A couple of sad notes on my Tradeport shipping / shopping experience: (1) They didn't give me my package's Air21 tracking info, and (2) the charger* doesn't work. (*See Dec 18th update)
[*update* Nov 7th] Managed to get my phone's microSD card out last night and saw that it was 4GB instead of 8GB that I expected. Add this to my "sad notes". Below is a screenshot of its Tradeport product details page that hasn't changed since I've placed the order (except for the sales price). Oh, and only one ear bud works on its headset* (*See Dec 18th update).
But good points must not be ignored: (1) The store's legit (a weepay merchant, has cred, official), (2) my product includes nokia 1-year warranty, (3) Tradeport team's polite and replies to questions.
About the bad charger, I have that warranty so I can get a working charger from a nokia care store. But since I've an old charger that works, I can forgive that. My guess is when they texted that they're waiting for another one because they tested the first charger and it didn't work, they didn't test the replacement or it didn't arrive so they just sent the first one with the unit instead (yikes!). Nah... I'd like to think it's the former. Either way, it's a bad charger and it's fortunate that I have an old working one so I don't have to bother. [*update* Dec 18th - tried the charger today - nothing then. Slightly wriggled and didn't plug it all the way in - it worked. It takes extra fuss but, hey, I got it to work this time. Same goes with the headset - don't plug it all the way in and sound through both ear buds will be fine.]
Anyway, I like that they use Air21 because I've good experiences with that shipper.
Moving on to today's brekky. The egg tasted like it sat on the same plate as last night's grilled pork liempo - pork grease on egg - interesting.
*March 2015 UPDATE. Another one bites the dust. Tradeport.com.ph is closed na pala.

I assume it's their nokia supplier store that's equally at fault here. If you're planning to order electronics that come with accessories from Tradeport, I suggest you go over each accessory which will come with the unit, with Tradeport. They will reply, for sure - I give them credit for that. And Tradeport can update this product page to say "either 4GB or 8GB included - it will depend on what our nokia supplier decides to put in the cardslot." Now, that would be accurate.
