Tosilog and Ringing Silence

Time for another food photo - had tosilog for breakfast today. I would've preferred fried rice in stead of the plain, newly-cooked stuff... sayang.

I've been listening to music A LOT and I've noticed this weird ringing in my ears when everything's silent. I think I'm developing a music addiction which may be senseless if you think about it:

Classic signs may include -- headset (almost) permanently attached, annoyance when interrupted like if someone knocks on the door, singing out loud on bathroom breaks/during meals, and singing right before falling asleep.

The "bathroom breaks/during meals" part is pretty funny. Yeah, I may be smiling right now but it is a little mad. Bwahaha!

Well, I think it's great and what makes it even better (better than "great"?) is that I had A LOT of work done (I wrote about this on my last post). So going back to what's great about my self-proclaimed music obsession... I just realized that I've learned lyrics to almost 30 songs in a little over a month! Yes - it's the kind where you know words to a song like the back of your hand. Come on, that is pretty amazing. Don't you think so?

34C, maynilad, condo water drama

  April 16, 2025 It's that time of the year... Ang iniiiitttt na ng 34 C (feels like 37 C)!!! The heat at 6AM wakes us up. Noon time is somehow bearable because of the black-out blinds, but we have to turn on the A/C at 3PM already or our tech will be affected (esp. the laptop and electric wheelchair!) or worse, we suffer heat stroke.  Maynilad's annual "repairs and maintenance" around Holy Week doesn't help since they provide our condo's water supply. Speaking of which - our condo admin shut off water for many days citing Maynilad repairs from April 6-17 . They announced a water interruption schedule on the 8th (as they should though very late) to allow the community cistern to get full, but they neither followed their stated hours nor gave any more updates or explanations interim - it was awful since the areas around us had steady supply already by the 11th/12th albeit low pressure. Gold ring size 6 for ref

A “pawnable” 0.69g 18k Saudi yellow gold ring (photo sent by the Shopee seller). My ring size is 6... in case I forget. Another buyer left a review that when they took it to Cebuana, they received an appraised value of P1,800 or ~50% of the retail price. Gold 18k market value is ~P3,400 per gram as of today (Sept. 11,2024). But for serious assets = gold bars are preferred over jewelry.  Actual ring I received ✨ Pretty small hearts design and stamped Au750 / 6. The diamond cuts make it sparkle. It looks very nice when worn.

Karinderya menudo

  Pork, pork liver, hotdog, potato, bell pepper... parang ito lang ang ingredients ng pork menudo sa binilhan kong karinderya. Luto sa atsuete.  Hmmm... mas bet ko ang ganitong luto ng menudo, yung walang tomato sauce. Pero weird ang lasa nung hotdog na ginamit dito.  Siguro kung ako gagawa, hindi ako maglalagay ng hotdog. Pinoy-style menudo pa ba yun kung walang hotdog?  Sa wakas, nakapagluto nadin kami ng garlic fried rice. Kaso nasunog nanaman ang bawang LOL
