
How to fix a Paymaya Duplicate Account issue? Do not waste your time sending an email to support@paymaya.com or messaging PaymayaCares on FB because you will only get a canned response (and a headache).

If you do not have a landline but you do have a Smart number, call *788 directly. This is free.
That's what I did. I spoke with a rep and she fixed it right away, mabilis lang.
She said the BSP (Bangko Sentral) is strict and will only allow 1 upgraded account per user. Any attempts to upgrade a different number will flag the new account and put you in this duplicate account mess and you won't be able to add money to this new number anymore. (The original account will not be affected though.)
Because they cannot cancel the submitted upgrade request on the new number (it doesn't work that way daw), I had to choose which number I want to keep-- If I choose to keep the old upgraded number, they will delete the duplicate account and I can't use that new number anymore. If I choose to keep the new number, they will delete the old account so I can upgrade the new account.
