bacolod go hotel, robinson's citywalk
I like the coffee with condensed milk at Ya Kun Kaya Toast (NAIA terminal 2, departure area).
They did not collect a passenger terminal fee at NAIA Terminal 2, finally! The wheelchairs at the airport are still old with breaks that do not work though. We had to put a bag behind the rear wheels of the wheelchair they gave me so it would not roll away.
We went on a mini-vacation last week. We visited Bacolod City. We stayed at a Go Hotel. It was a breezy, scenic 30-minute drive to the hotel from the Bacolod-Silay airport via the airport access road. We stopped at Talisay from the airport to visit family too.
I tried to buy a Go Hotel toiletry kit but they were out. The lady at the desk was quick to explain that their current stock was past expiration date and they were waiting for new stock but they do not know when it will be delivered. There used to be a Cafe 21 at the lobby up until last year (sayang). There is still a "corner shop" where you can buy coffee -- they will give you hot water in a cup and a coffee sachet. I was told you can keep the cup and come back for hot water if have your own instant coffee mix.
On to some of our meals...
Yummy platters from Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken at Central City Walk behind Robinson's Place.
Takoyaki and the Japanese beef curry from Tokyo Bubble Tea Restaurant also at City Walk at Robinson's Place.
I am so glad we stayed at the Go Hotel, it is so close to Robinson's mall! Stone's throw! From the hotel, there is a door on the first floor towards the back that opens to the outside and right there is the rear entrance of the mall and City Walk! There are proper ramps here too so we had no trouble rolling my wheelchair around the place. So convenient. Also, food prices here are great - not overpriced!!!
Then, it was time to go home. Taxi from Go Hotel to the Bacolod-Silay airport was 500 pesos. On the way, we passed by the entrance of The Ruins (no, we did not get out). And... they collected a passenger terminal fee at the Bacolod-Silay airport (ugh). And... their wheelchairs have working breaks (yay).
Nice view from the departure area.
