I tried the familiar shops first including idealvision and sarabia but their websites were hard to use. Another online shop for prescription eyeglasses that came up on search was Ojo Eyewear.
First time learning about Ojo Eyewear. They have physical shops in malls and are active on social media... hmmm.
▪ Placed my order 11/6:
- Created an account on their website first.
- Chose my frames Ceroflex CF17 in black.
- Manually input my existing prescription / single vision / distance / clear lens / ultrathin upgrade.
- Metro Manila shipping was free (promo maybe?).
▪ Received email confirmation for my order the next day 11/7.
▪ Received delivery of my new eyeglasses 11/8.
Ceroflex CF17 is full-framed plastic + small size 140mm length + rectangle shape + very lightweight (I would say, fragile) = base price P1,888. It has nose pads... nose pads are a must!
Plastic is better because my RX is high at -800. Ultrathin 1.67 upgrade was +P1.400. My total = P3,288.
Super Ultrathin 1.74 for the lenses was also an optional upgrade for P6.8k - but no, I don't want the super duper thin lenses yet. I actually don't care that my eyes look like they're in a fish bowl as long as I can see clearly.
My previous eyeglasses that I bought from the mall 8 years ago (2016), cost me ~P9k net PWD discount. It has metal frames but the screws are now loose and the lens so scratched; I had to buy new ones.
I'm using my new Ojo Eyewear now. Their website: ojoeyewear.co
