scheduled power cut

a mobile PA did the rounds with a blow-horn this afternoon. the neighborhood will have no electricity from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow.

if midday tomorrow will be anything like today, we'll prepare to sweat.

it's starting to get humid at noon, but it's not so bad that i'll think summer has come too early. we're seeing ants in the usual places though - near the sink, the bed. i don't know how they get in my bed. they're red and they bite.

took us two days to polish off a conti's cake. it was mango-something (bravo?). super nice people brought us sweet dessert, too bad it was a quick visit. can't wait till we see them again.

Korean-style egg drop toast, 10 days later

Someone caught a virus on June 13 - probably at the grocery store. We were both sick by the 14th. I had a fever for 2 days then cough and colds for a week.  All food tasted bitter or nothing at all, but I could taste sweet food after the fever broke...  White bread, plain rice and cold Milo were my meals. A few slices of pear, too. I was nauseated and weak. Gutom na pero walang gana.  Korean-style egg drop toast benta ng kapitbahay Napabili nako nito nung 19th. Yung with cheese pinili ko, 110 pesos. Maliit ba? Oks lang kahit di brioche. Matamis kaya nalasahan ko. Masarap pero half lang nakain dahil sa nausea. I thought I could eat more... di pa pala.  I started to feel normal 10 days later, on the 24th. Parang walang nangyari.  But my sense of taste is not back 100% yet as of today, the 28th.

Golden Powerchair Charging/Chargers

Always have a spare charger for your electric wheelchair just in case... like today. When we plugged in my powerchair, the light on the charger turned green when it should've turned red (for reference, green light = fully charged VS. red light = charging). The actual light has been dim and difficult to see for a while now. I started using this generic charger in January 2021 when the original charger stopped working. Anyway, we troubleshoot... Took the spare charger out, plugged it in and RED light! Yay *insert tears of joy* - oh there's an emoji pala  ðŸ˜‚. The light is nice and bright. So if the light becomes dim, it is a sign that the charger needs to be replaced soon. Now that I think about it, I noticed that sign with the original charger too. Since the spare is now the primary, I will get a new spare charger (again).  the original charger the generic charger replacement
