what you see here is 1/3 of everything. just 1/3. oh yeah!!! of course, i shared.

buffalo wings (the solo pack) has 6 pieces and dip. the basket of belgian fries... box was filled with it! has two containers of dip too. there was a lot of potato, very good!

the person who took my call was confused. i was going to have the fries for the first time kasi so asked if it came with dip. Parang-ganito-ang-usap-di-word-for-word script:

Me: Ung belgian fries, may kasama syang dip?
Rep: Wala po. [nag-hesitate ng konti]
Me: Ah, so ako nang bahala kung gusto kong i-ketchup o anuman ung fries?
Rep: Yes.
Me: Pero may lasa na sya?
Rep: Yes.
Me: Ah, OK.

If the fries were seasoned, i didn't taste it. It needed dip, and it came with dip. It wasn't like the mojos that could do without it.

Shakey's basket of belgian fries + solo spicy buffalo wings + 1.5L Coke zero = 417 pesos. Good for three people na, I think. Well, it was good for us three here and I couldn't finish my share of fries pa.

34C, maynilad, condo water drama

  April 16, 2025 It's that time of the year... Ang iniiiitttt na ng 34 C (feels like 37 C)!!! The heat at 6AM wakes us up. Noon time is somehow bearable because of the black-out blinds, but we have to turn on the A/C at 3PM already or our tech will be affected (esp. the laptop and electric wheelchair!) or worse, we suffer heat stroke.  Maynilad's annual "repairs and maintenance" around Holy Week doesn't help since they provide our condo's water supply. Speaking of which - our condo admin shut off water for many days citing Maynilad repairs from April 6-17 . They announced a water interruption schedule on the 8th (as they should though very late) to allow the community cistern to get full, but they neither followed their stated hours nor gave any more updates or explanations interim - it was awful since the areas around us had steady supply already by the 11th/12th albeit low pressure. Karinderya menudo

  Pork, pork liver, hotdog, potato, bell pepper... parang ito lang ang ingredients ng pork menudo sa binilhan kong karinderya. Luto sa atsuete.  Hmmm... mas bet ko ang ganitong luto ng menudo, yung walang tomato sauce. Pero weird ang lasa nung hotdog na ginamit dito.  Siguro kung ako gagawa, hindi ako maglalagay ng hotdog. Pinoy-style menudo pa ba yun kung walang hotdog?  Sa wakas, nakapagluto nadin kami ng garlic fried rice. Kaso nasunog nanaman ang bawang LOL
