w/flash today, ankle's sore and dinner was stolen by cats. these made me want pizza. who knew shakey's phased out thick crust pies? i didn't, until tonight. they have thin crust and hand-tossed pizzas now. took my pizzanatic card out and called for delivery. 1 large hand-tossed shakey's special + 1.5L coke zero = 514.00 pesos + 1 free large hand-tossed hawaiian delight. i thought i got lucky when we saw that the free pizza was also hand-tossed. we half-expected the delivery guy to come back and tell us he'd handed us the wrong box. after checking the receipt again, there was no mistake. cool. shakey's hand-tossed pizzas are chewy and heavy. my tummy can only take two slices, max. wished the free pie was thin-crust though, digging into a crunchy slice after a chewy one would've been nice. night mode, no flash

Recently discovered "auto scroll" on my symbian's eReader app . Wonderful feature, I must say. Set its scroll speed up to 700+ since default was too slow. Ahh... night-time reading is pleasantly lazy now, in a good way.

I give up, Asianic [dot]com[dot]ph. I asked them to remove my online order from their database. I'm canceling it and there's no way to do it from my side. I can only take so many replies that the item I want is available at my nearest SM branch and that I can purchase it there... when I chose online payment (weepay) + delivery, in the first place. See what I mean? Yeah. Frustrating. Also, they mentioned that with weepay, only the item will be paid for. In my head I was like, "Weh?" When I asked how I could pay for the delivery fee, I received no reply. A reasonable answer would've been that they aren't able to process my order, period. Another reasonable reply would've been suggesting a solution on how I can pay for both the item and delivery. Either of those two would've been fine. I got neither. a quick update about my ongoing thing with this online store that i talked about last time : - i didn't receive a reply to the last question i sent thursday last week, and - it's been 3 business days (Feb 18th Fri, 21st Mon, 22nd Tue) and this online order is still pending/awaiting approval. that's the longest time that an online store hasn't communicated with their potential customer (a.k.a. me), as far as i can remember that is. at this point, i would suggest that they get someone that's dedicated exclusively to their online presence since obviously, no one's manning their website. i sent a "follow my order up please" message through their web form tonight and hopefully, that would speed things up. if they don't reply by tomorrow, that will be 4 business days of lull.

struggled all week with an online store. i'm still getting to know their process before diving in and they haven't really given the answers i'm looking for... to think that my questions are quite clear. waiting for a reply to a hanging question is never good, and i know i'll have to wait till the weekend's over to get it. so far, their replies were "weh???" for me. it was like they didn't really read my question in the first place, and then they weren't giving me straight answers. i'm not going to mention the store name until this is through. or unless they quit talking to me all together either by choosing to ignore me or by the unfortunate possibility of them forgetting about me over the weekend.

Brunch was pale adobo , itlog na maalat , and fried rice. I say it's "pale" adobo obviously. Too much vinegar, short on the soy sauce. This was cooked in a rush. The garlic was a little raw pa. My guess is that it was intended to be like this, no mistakes really. The pork belly was cut so thinly I'm almost sure this is how they wanted it - pale and all. Typically, I take my tea with powdered milk and sweetener. But tonight called for an earthy-taste-something so I did away with the rest of the stuff. Funny that someone turned up their nose when they got a whiff of this. I didn't mind though, I just held my breath whenever I took a sip.

nokia is leaving symbian for windows . feeling strangely affected by this. i wonder how they're taking the news down at nokia hq.

i have worked out 3 ways to fall asleep so far: * read ebooks i'm at the 700th+ page of the return of sherlock holmes. it's nice and long, a compilation of several cases to be exact. short stories make for good nighttime reading. * play backgammon i can't believe an easy level AI beats me. well, it wins occasionally but still... my motive is pride, you see. people at odesys did a nice job with their backgammon. if only they could work on their chess game which is so comically, pitifully predictable. * listen to music this is confusing. i have a "sleep" playlist (mostly with nick drake's songs) but i've not fallen asleep to it yet. i always sing along with it. i don't doze off until the music has stopped. strange. but i do start to feel drowsy after it's finished which is good. like i said, strange how that works for me. now, i only do one at a time cuz a combo only stimulates my mind.

Took a nap this afternoon. We had proper "nap weather" then. It was gloomy and it rained for 10 minutes. I thought about how I'd like hot cocoa after my nap but it turned out to be an at-that-moment whim. I didn't want to make hot chocolate when I woke up. I think I slept 30 minutes. I closed my eyes, opened them and I was ready to get up. It was what "had a good nap" is supposed to be.

oh my jaw. brunch was 4 strips of bacon... more like bacon jerky! my gums are sore too. should've cut them into bite-size bits with kitchen scissors before i dug in. oh...

We have a nice building in our neighborhood. This is what its main entrance looks like from the inside. Lots of natural light during the day, must save tons on electric which is very good. It has a high ceiling and a stage on the other end. But I don't think it has a loo, I mean, restroom inside. Still, it is a good-looking space.
